Convergence 9
monday

Stayed in bed hoping for call from mother, since we hadn't gotten in touch the previous day. Eventually gave up around 10:30 and went off to the brunch, and actually got to sit down and talk to some people from not where I live for a bit, one of the highlights of the trip. Met some really cute UK goths, and met dok for the second time (I don't think he remembered the first, but then I wasn't particularly memorable). Said my goodbyes to various people who were present. The bruise Sean gave me was still not a sunflower, but was much more obviously blue, but I didn't notice that till after he'd gone.

packing, picture by Lore
Had to run off to pack, check out, meet mother, and get stuff to car. Lore helped carry some of my stuff, as it was all non consolidated, and we got syko's luggage to the car. syko, mum, and I headed off to the Luxor, and Lore started his long voyage home. The buffet at the Luxor is where part of the river used to be- and has nifty decor. The food was pretty decent too. We checked the slots, and Mummy Madness! called to me. Big spender- penny slots. Put in a dollar, and walked away with $10.89 (I had gotten up to $15 at one point). Sadly, none of the nickel slots loved me, not even the Munsters ones, and no slots loved poor syko. Took syko to the airport and said our goodbyes.

downtown
Checked into the hotel. Mum and I wandered around a bit not sure of what to do, finally ate dinner in Paris at a nice (if occasionally far too loud) Provençal place with very very nice food and a waiter who dropped his accent when he knew we were travelling to Arizona, where he came from. Drove to downtown to get a picture of the lights. Finally went back to the hotel and sat in a bit.

Tuesday I found out Demonia lies, as I wanted to try on a new pair of Frankenstein boots since mine finally fell apart, and I don't know what size they were. But alas, no Demonia for me. The first place, Cash for Chaos, was actually pretty nifty, but they had three pairs of boots, none of which looked Demonia to me. The second place was a rather skanky stripper/clubbing store, which had not a single item of footwear. And place 3? Place 3 did not exist, and the number had been disconnected.

AGF moment: black pants, black shirt with zipper, knee high boots.
